"I oversee the day-to-day performance in my area, inspiring staff by setting clear objectives and creating an atmosphere in which everyone feels able to succeed. Ultimately, through coaching and business planning, I help my area colleagues achieve their goals.

NatWest recognised my abilities as an effective communicator and took on board my service experience with targeted sales. I had the choice of working in retail or premium channels. I decided on premium.

Now I identify and develop new business opportunities and address performance related issues - positively and effectively. I have a workable amount of staff to manage, which means plenty of time to forge good working relationships with my premium managers. It's ideal. Rather than just being an extension number or email address, I talk to people face to face and really get things done.

Yes, we work hard, but the targets we set ourselves are attainable. I never turn people away saying that I don't have enough time. What's most important is that I share NatWest's customer values. I'm genuinely enthusiastic about improving people's lives with the service I provide."
